"Matthew! Wake up!"
"Whaaa?.. What's going on?" I see my mom standing beside me, shoving me off the bed. Her maroon silky long hair was all over the place, but that's how it always was after she got out of bed.
"Time to start your first day of high school as a sophomore." she said with a smirk on her white pale face.
"Highschool" was something I didn't want to hear for a every long time. I was never a morning person. Waking up anytime before 12p.m. was never my thing. Playing video games late at night was always a huge habit of mine.
My bathroom was across my room, so it wasn't much of a struggle for me. There I would wash up and fix my messy hair. When I was a freshman, I had my black straight hair up to my eyes. Kids kept calling me "emo" just because of it. So then I cut it. Not because they were calling me names, I cut it because it was alot of work keeping it neat. So now I'm sticking with my medium length hair. Now I don't have to bother fixing it as much.
My eyes made me look like a walking corpse. Basically, that's how I look like with my skin light as my mom's. And to top it off, I was also skinny and tall which definitely made me look dead.
"School is such a drag.." I kept telling myself, but with that in mind I started heading out the door. I always walked to school alone. I use to walk with my only friend, but ever since he moved farther away from school he had to go by car. My house was a couple blocks away, so it felt more like a walk in the park.
It only took minutes when I got around the last corner. I felt like turning back, but it was too late. There it was. Lake Forest High School. My high school..
